Niyagala the deadly charmer

Niyangala ( නියගලා මල් ) is one of the beautiful plant in sri lanka witch is labeled as a poisons one. It's botanical name is gloriosa superba and it belongs to lilianceae family it's english names are climbing lily, creeping lily, flame lily, tiger claw
It has a high medical importance. The sap from the leaf tip is use for pimples and skin eruptions.
niyagala is also known as the national flower of zimbabway. All part of this plant flowers specially tubers are extreamly poisionous

නියගලා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ උග්‍ර විශ සහිත අලංකාර පැලෑටියකි. එහි උද්භිත විද්‍යාත්මක නාමය gloriosa superba වේ.
මෙහි ඉතා වට්නා ඔසු ගුන ඇත. නියගලා කොල අග යුශ කුරුලෑ සහ සම පිපිරීම සුව කරයි.
නියගලා මල සිම්බාබ්වේ ජාතික පුශ්පයද වේ.
