An aurora ( අරුණාලෝකය ) is a natural light display in the sky. Particularly in hight latitude regons caused by the collision of energitic changed particles with atoms in hight latitude atmosphere.
Aurora can be seen above north and south pole after sunset.
අවුරෝරා / දක්ෂිනාලෝකය / අරුණාලෝකය/ උත්තරාලෝකය යනු විශේශයෙන් ඉහල අක්ශාංශගත කලාප වලට දර්ශනය වන ස්වභාවික ආලෝක දාරාවකි.
මෙයට හේතුව වන්නේ ඉහල වායුගෝලයේ ප්රෙභල අංශු පරමානු සමග ගැටීමෙන් ඒවායෙ සිදුවෙන වෙන්සයි
අවුරෝරා උතුරු සහ දකුණු ගෝලයේ රට වලට හිරු බැස යාමෙන් අනතුරුව දැකිය හැක.
